Auburn Baseball: Tigers to face Tennessee Tech at Toyota Field – Auburn Wire

Auburn will put its six-game winning streak to the test against undefeated Tennessee Tech (10-0) Wednesday night.
The game will be played at Toyota Field, which is the home of the Rocket City Trash Pandas. The Tigers are 11-2 overall and are 2-1 in neutral site games.
The Tigers are hitting .369 during the streak and are outscoring their opponents 78-11 during the current winning streak. The 11-2 start is the best start of the season since Auburn went 20-2 in 2019.
Sonny DiChiara is leading the Tigers offense with an insane slash line of .472/.615/1.083 with 16 runs scored in 36 at-bats. His five home runs are a third of the team’s total.
The Golden Eagles are led by former Auburn staff members Matt Bragga and Blake Beck who serve as the team’s head coach and assistant coach.
In addition, former Auburn player Ed Johnson is the team’s leading hitter, having a .480 batting average through 10 games.
As a team, the Golden Eagles rank third in the NCAA in average (.354), fifth in scoring (10.9), and eighth in home runs (21).
